Dentsu Media (Thailand) Ltd. joins force with leading corporations across industies to launch iButterfly, the latest application to revolutionizes market communications in Thailand

Dentsu Media (Thailand) Ltd. once again creates a stir in Thai marketing communications with the latest launch of iButterfly, a smartphone application that enjoys highest popularity in Japan and Hong Kong in the past two years, for the first time in Thailand. The introduction of the application has gained overwhelming response from leading corporations across industries, making it the latest trend of the year.

Mr. Mitsuyuki Nakamura, Chief Executive Office, Dentsu Media (Thailand) Ltd.  the copyright holder of iButterfly application in Thailand, disclosed that “Following the launch of the application in 2010 in Japan, iButterfly has received high popularity, starting as a news application before becoming in integrated marketing communication tool for branding and sales promotions. Subsequently, in 2011, Dentsu Media Hong Kong introduced the application and used it as a new channel for marketing communications. It also enjoyed a comparable positive feedback in Japanese market.

 “Dentsu Media (Thailand) this year realizes dynamic consumer behaviors with changing lifestyles, particularly in terms of communication technologies, as well as the popularity of smartphone that plays a vital role in lifestyle of Thai consumers, including in entertainment, gaming, social network and applications. We foresee the market potential that is ready to welcome the introduction of iButterfly application with steady growth trend,” he said.

iButterfly is the latest smartphone application in which unique virtual butterflies are used to bring entertainment, information and discount coupons to the smartphone user. Not only materializing the concept of Digital Coupon to add color to smartphone users, the application is environmental friendly by replacing the use of paper; consumers do need to carry or cut out paper coupon from leaflet or newspaper, as the application includes all privileges in one. Plus, it offers a platform for brands or products to promote via related links to video clips or social media sites or websites. This is regarded as a change driving strategy on mobile application that offers both entertainment and practical use in daily life.
